Marshall B. Call, 78, of Winter Park, Fla., and formerly of Anderson, died Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2000) at his home.

Mr. Call was raised in Huntington and served in the Navy during World War II. He graduated from Anderson College and earned a master’s degree from Ball State University. He began his teaching career in the Anderson School System in 1950, teaching and coaching at the Longfellow and Park Place Elementary schools for 26 years.

In 1976 he moved to Winter Park, Fla., where he was the principle and a teacher at the Agape Christian School for 10 years. After retiring, he was a substitute teacher at the Faith Christian Academy in Orlando.

He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Orlando, Fla.; the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International; the TGIF Breakfast Prayer Club; the Indiana State Teacher’s Retirement Association; and the Winter Park Country Club.

He was born Nov. 24, 1921, in Huntington to William F. and Mary E. Snowden Call. He married Alice Clevenger Aug. 22, 1948. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Peggy) Brown of Apopka, Fla.; a brother, Donald Call of Huntington; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers.

Calling is from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Noffze Funeral Home, Alexandria Chapel, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Pastor Larry Schimmel will officiate.

Burial will be at Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.
