Nagel, Fred W. J.

Also Known As Nagel, Fred W. J.
Nick Name Fritz
Birth Name Nagel, Friedrich Wilhelm Johannes

Like many others in his family, Fred chose to use a more Americanized version of his birth name; he alternately used William or John as his middle name, as documents show him as either "Fred W." and "Fred J." over the years. (As an example, his WWI draft registration card gives his name as "Fred John," while his WWII draft registration card gives his name as "Fredrick William.")
